For the last two years I have incorporated Pilates into my physical fitness routine, and it has changed my life. My balance, core strength, flexibility, and weight have improved tremendously. I have all but eliminated the chronic back pain that sit ups, diet, and a chiropractor could not solve. In December 2009, I received a post card in the mail inviting me to a free class at Pilates of Palm Beach on opening day, January 2, 2010. Well, here I am, to this day totally addicted to Pilates! All of the instructors are very knowledgeable, professional, energizing and friendly. I look forward to every class. I have worked out most of my life, and I don't ever remember looking forward to working out. Since introducing Pilates to my work out, I feel better mentally and physically. I suffer from Fybromyalgia, and before I joined Pilates of Palm Beach, there were days that I could barley move. I have found Pilates has strengthened, not only my core muscles, but my entire body. The flexibility I have acquired from Pilates is incredible. No other workout I have ever done at the gym has made my body feel this way. If you are looking to get in shape physically and mentally, and would like to have fun doing it, I would strongly suggest joining Pilates of Palm Beach.

So... as a friend of the Pilates of Palm Beach studio owner, I was invited to take a Pilates "beginners" class, gratis (mind you, I helped develop the studio's website). At first, my internal manly ego had a fit with itself when it realized I was actually considering taking the class. My wife “encouraged” me by saying “you won't be able to handle it”. That's when the decision was final. I WOULD be attending. The beginner's class really challenged me physically. It was A LOT harder than I had anticipated. As a guy, I'm used to all-out physical activity: basketball, football, soccer, running, etc... Pilates on the other hand, was a far more controlled activity. The class tempo was upbeat and engaging. Some of the core training exercises I did lingered for days (which really only identified how out-of-shape some areas of my body were). All in all, to any guys out there who have been propositioned to attend a Pilates class, first, make sure you checkout Pilates of Palm Beach. They are first class and fully certified. Second, this isn't the group workout you see in your commercial gym on Tuesdays & Thursdays where you're dancing the Macarena. This is for REAL.

Ever since I had reconstructive knee surgery, I have been searching for a challenging workout that would be gentle on my knee. Pilates of Palm Beach offered just that. After every session, I feel stronger & my knee moves with more ease. Erin has gone above and beyond to accommodate my injury, but she still pushes me during every session. I am constantly surprised by myself and what I am able to do! The transformation my body has made is another welcomed surprise. Not a day goes by that I don't receive a compliment about how great I look! Words can't express how truly grateful I am to Erin and Pilates of Palm Beach.

As a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor, as well as a professional dancer and performer, I am very particular about the types of exercises I will practice. I avoid fad exercise programs that cause injuries. I find that practicing Pilates forces an emphasis on posture and alignment, which is something that I have been lacking since giving birth to my first child. Since I am also a dancer, I felt Pilates would help me to become a stronger and more balanced dancer. I started practicing Pilates 2 times per week with Erin Haag in May 2009, and since then, my dancing has totally changed. Before, I had to work really hard at keeping control in my abdominal area, and now I don't even have to think about it. It happens naturally. I feel stronger and more balanced, and I have a better awareness of my body. I have also noticed a great increase in my flexibility. I am currently expecting my 2nd child, and I plan to continue my Pilates sessions with Pilates of Palm Beach throughout my entire pregnancy.

I LOVE Pilates of Palm Beach, and I LOVE Erin! I have been training with Erin since February 2009, and I have seen a complete transformation in my body. I am stronger and more flexible! I feel so good about myself and my body. I don't think I've ever been this confident and comfortable before. Erin is a fantastic instructor who challenges me every session. My sessions are fun and exciting, and I actually look forward to working out. Pilates of Palm Beach has changed my life so much that I have decided to get certified to teach Pilates. In February 2009, I decided to try my 1st Pilates class at Pilates of Palm Beach. I knew nothing about Pilates when I went in and thought it was similar to yoga (which I find slow, tedious and boring... sorry to all you yoga practitioners out there ! :). To my surprise, the class turned out to be dynamic, challenging, and fun! Erin gave us quite a workout, but I felt great afterwards. I discovered the muscles I never knew I had! After taking the class for just a couple of weeks, I found myself having better posture and wanting to eat healthier. By now I have officially fallen in love with Pilates. I love Erin's energetic, positive teaching style, and can't wait to go to my Pilates classes every week!
